Camping in Rome

Rome is one of the more expensive cities in Europe after London and Paris. Many tourists cannnot afford a hotel in the city centre or around. Therefore the solution for low budgets may be camping.
On the contrary of what one could think, camping in Rome is not an inconceivable idea. It is a friendly and cheap mean to visit the Italian capital. Of course, campsites are not located in the city centre but they are not far away.

Happy Village and Camping
Happy Village is located in the heart of the Natural Park of Veio, encircled by pristine and lush nature, at a short distance from the center of Rome: It offers abou the same facilities as Camping Tiber.
By car : exit number 5 via Flaminia.
A free shuttle bus takes you to the nearby rail station of Prima Porta which allows to reach Piazzale Flaminio (Piazza del Popolo, the heart of Old Town) in just 20 minutes.
